As part of our business contingency preparedness plans, we have moved the network status site to a totally seperate platform, independent of every last part of our live platform, and hosted in a different data center. Even the DNS is hosted using a 3rd party DNS provider for total de-coupling with our infrastructure.

This means that should we ever have any major problems, we'll be able to communicate with you, both over the web, using RSS, and by sending out emails if you've requested to receive status updates from us.

However, because this site is not hosted directly on our network, it doesn't benefit from the redundancy our network and platform provides, so could feasably be unavailable even though our platform is fully functional. One of the best methods of ensuring you can always receive information from us in the face of any problems is to subscribe to the RSS feed.
